With the help of my father Ian and brother young
Ian we have been supplying Bartlett’s with
potatoes from our farm in South East Kincardineshire for over 8 years. We grow 6 different varieties for the company including Maris Piper, Osprey, Desiree, Maris Peer, Charlotte and of course Rooster. However growing potatoes is not our only job. We also cultivate wheat for live stock feeding, winter and spring barley for malting, oil seed rape and rear cattle.

As a farmer it is important for us to pay particular attention to the environment and soils we farm. Specifically we have introduced grass margins for wildlife conservation and we have noticed a significant increase in birdlife, in particular partridges. We have also created a couple of conservation ponds which have encouraged ducks to nest in the area.
