From our farm in North East Angus we have been
supplying Bartlett’s with potatoes for over 20 years.
We grow 6 different varieties for the company
which include Saxon, Osprey, Maris Piper,
Harmony, Cara (seed potatoes) and Rooster.
As well as potatoes we grow a substantial amount
of wheat for livestock feeding, spring barley for
malting, oilseed rape for vegetable oil production,
spring oats for porridge and we rear cattle too.
As farmers we are keen to encourage different
varieties of wildlife to our area. It is for that reason
we have utilised areas of wetland as habitats for
ducks as well as more uncommon birds.
Additionally some of our farmland lies on a
historical site and under guidance from Historical
Scotland, cultivations on those areas are restricted
in order to conserve the historic features below. |
