From our farm at Low grounds Swineshead we supply Albert Bartlett Boston with potatoes from some of the best silt land in south Lincolnshire. Approximately 4000 tonnes of Vivaldi are grown, lifted; split graded and delivered using our modern harvesting, grading and haulage fleet. Maris piper, Marfona and Estima are also grown on the farm. 2007 season saw us trialling Rooster and Osprey for the Boston business. As a family business we have invested heavily in potatoes at low grounds farm, aside from potatoes we grow wheat, oats, sugar beet, peas and oil seed rape.
Management of ditches and surrounding wildlife is of high importance on the farm and we tailor cultivations and operations around this.We are approved natures choice suppliers and will be drilling bumblebee mix this coming spring. Outside of farming Stephen trialed for the Welsh under 16 rugby squad and pulled for Welsh Tug’O’War team.
