The Cheltenham Festival is the most prestigious meeting in the National Hunt racing calendar with race prize money second only to the Grand National. Held in March close to Saint Patrick's Day its timing echoes the Irish heritage of our famous Rooster and fittingly we have sponsored the Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle Series for the last two years.
Being committed to promoting healthy living both in terms of a healthy diet and physical activity, we became title sponsors of the 2008 Edinburgh Marathon and saw an amazing 85% increase in entries Suitably encouraged we signed up again for 2009.
Being Scotland's largest marathon it is enormously popular with fierce competition for entries, that are now capped at 12,000 runners.
In addition to the The Cheltenham Festival and The Cheltenham Novices Hurdle, 2009 sees The Albert Bartlett Rooster providing sponsorship for Classic and Champion winning jockey Jamie Spencer for Ballydoyle, the racing stable of the internationally renowned Coolmore Group.
The Clarke Brothers: From Airdrie to the Royal Brallet
We like to work directly with individuals, who show promise and dedication, especially if they are local to our company. We are proud supporters of the Clarke family from Airdrie. The brothers; Ross, Reece, Ryan and Russel have made an awe inspiring journey from local dancing classes to the Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden through the corps de ballet in London and Arizona and on to international principle roles. They are all well on their way to becoming international stars. Last Christmas saw them all dance in 'The Nutcracker' but 5000 miles part. Ross, 25, and Russel, 20, performed with Ballet Arizona in America, while Ryan, 15, and Reece, 13, performed at the Royal Opera House in London.
