We have been supplying Bartlett's with Potatoes from our farm in Perthshire for over 23 years. We grow a wide range of the varieties including Maris Piper, Estima, Osprey and of course Rooster.
Although potatoes are a significant part of what we do, it is not our only job we also have our own soft fruit brand, Bruce's of Balmyle.
As well as this we have our own herd of Pedigree Charolais Bulls and in 1988 one of our bulls was sold for a record price of 33,000gn (about £35,000).
Like many farmers we are passionate about what we do and realise that to keep British farming going younger generations need to be educated. It is for this reason that we work with The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET). This enables children to be educated about the countryside and broadens their farming knowledge.
The sustainability of our farming operation is key to the way British farming will develop in the future. We have already progressed into this by growing our own sustainable peas and beans, additionally we are working with FWAG and their habitat development scheme to encourage wildlife to our area.
