Our farm Castlehill which is in Ayrshire on the south west of Scotland benefits from the gulf stream and helps us produce early season Maris Piper and Osprey for Bartlett's whom we have been supplying for 25 years.
As well as potatoes our crop rotation includes barley and grass which is feed to our beef cattle.
We farm in an area which attracts large numbers of tourists and caravanners, who are welcome to walk through our farms paths and roadways.
We are adjacent to Culzean Castle, the National Trust for Scotlands most visited property, and have worked with the N.T.S. and others to create a coastal walk and to regenerate unproductive land with traditional flora species.
In earlier years as a dairy farmer I was Chairman of the UKs largest milk Co-op so I appreciate the value of working closely with multiple retailers to help develop a mutually beneficial relationship with our customers.
