Meet the farmers

Edward Le Hegarat

I have taken on my farm at La Presse in the parish of St Peter from my father and previously Grandfather.

Most of the fields are light to medium loam soils which are ideal for maintaining the truly delicious flavour of the Jersey Royal potatoes.

I have encouraged the development of a local scheme - 'trees for life', by engaging the local community to become involved in replanting trees.

I have a meadow on the farm with a natural streem running through it and owl boxes nearby. Back to Farmers
