MEET THE FARMERS

I have supplied Albert Bartlett from my farm in Angus for 15 years. I grow a number of varieties including Saxon, Rooster, Osprey and Maris Peer.

Aside from potatoes I grow wheat for feeding cattle, Malting Barley, Organic Hay and Oil seed rape for vegetable oil production. I also have 10,000 organic chickens which are reared for the supermarkets, and cattle some of which are used for breeding and others for beef. These are all housed on our own straw throughout the winter.

The environment is something that i take great pride in. I have built 2 irrigation ponds which are stocked with trout and surrounded by a bumblebee grass mix to increase the insect and wildlife activity in the area.
