Meet the farmers

Farming in both Central and East Angus, we have been supplying Bartlett's with potatoes for over 20 years. We grow various varieties for the company including Osprey, Desiree, Harmony, Maris Piper and Rooster. Away from potatoes we also grow winter wheat for distilling, spring barley for malting and oilseed rape which is used for vegetable oil.

Farming in the Lunan Catchment Area, we have been able to get involved in the local Environmental Monitor Group, with the aim of pioneering and evaluating new environmental protection measures, which can be adapted across the country if successful. Such measures include using GPS technology to better target inputs and give us greater understanding of our soils.

Aside from this we have also created a duck pond and taken part in 'Operation Bumblebee', creating pollen-rich habitats to promote bird and insect life. In recent years we have also established a footpath on our farm to give the public access to the landscape which we are fortunate enough to work in all the time. Back to Farmers
