MEET THE FARMERS

Robert and Gavin Fleming

We have been supplying Bartlett's with potatoes from the East Coast of Scotland for over 25 years. We provide the company with 4 different varieties including, Osprey, Saxon, Orla and Cara. Aside from potatoes we also grow a large amount of barley and wheat for feeding livestock, spring barley for malting, as well as rearing cattle.

Our farm is situated near to the Montrose Nature reserve (Montrose Basin) and being so close to it has encouraged many different species of wildlife to our pond that we constructed in 2004. On a different level, my son Gavin worked with Bartlett's growing operation in Spain which involved planting and harvesting salad potatoes.
