We have been supplying Bartlett’s with potatoes from East Coast Fife for the last 10 years. We grow 4 different varieties which include, Vivaldi, Osprey, Harmony and of course Rooster.
Apart from potatoes we also produce malting barley, wheat for distilling, wild oats for milling, oil seed rape for vegetable oil and Swedes.
As a farmer the encouragement of insects and other forms of wildlife can be vital to our crops and it is for this reason that we got involved with schemes such as ‘Operation Bumblebee’.
As well as this we also have buffer zones around water courses to create habitats for nesting birds and insects.
Additionally as part of the schemes available through SEERAD we have built public walkways through farm land to encourage the local community to experience the outdoors.
